Overview
This website and initiative seeks to serve the Church of
Pasadena - that is, all believers who profess Jesus as
their Lord and Savior, regardless of denomination, group or
race.
We seek to serve all Christians who love the Lord their God
above all else and who feel called to love one another;
seeking genuine relationship with others from among the
Church of Pasadena.
We seek to
serve Christians that are called to love their enemies and
who seek to overcome evil with good.
We seek to serve those who want to live a lifestyle
emulating such love, believing that this will give Pasadena
the opportunity and means to reflect greater righteousness
and justice; bringing about the ultimate removal of systemic
poverty.
We believe that such a lifestyle is only possible with the
wisdom, guidance and power of the Holy Spirit because it
requires considerable courage, humility, forgiveness, and a
willingness to take risks for the Lord.
How We Came about
Not all Christian spirituality and practice results in
positive godly transformation among individuals, communities
or nations. Apartheid was developed under the auspices of
Christian theology and the Rwandan genocide occurred in a
predominantly Christian nation. And yet it is also true that
precisely because of a Christian presence remarkably
positive and just societal transformation has taken place
throughout history.
Today,
particularly in many developing nations, the Church is
experiencing unprecedented growth and there are some
communities experiencing notably godly, or ‘Kingdom,’
transformation through the presence of a dynamic Christian
faith.
This
Love Pasadena site is currently administered by The King's Court
Foundation but Love Pasadena is not its own ministry.
It is rather a platform to benefit existing Christian
efforts seeking transformation in Pasadena.
Love Pasadena has the support of the Clergy Community
Coalition (CCC), the Interdenominational Ministerial
Alliance of Greater Pasadena (IMA), Pastors praying
for Pasadena, other ministries, and other pastoral groups.
The King's Court Foundation is an inter-denominational 501(c)3 Public Charity
committed to helping grow and sustain prayer-based Christian
efforts that meet the spiritual, physical and social needs
of communities. This is done primarily through research,
developing practical tools, and providing
a platform for the cross-pollination of Kingdom principles,
testimonies and models.
