Door of Hope
Mission:
To equip homeless families to
rebuild their lives. We provide transitional housing and a
restoration program especially designed for homeless
families with children. Our goal is to help these families
with children go from homelessness to self-sufficiency to
permanent housing. We provide a safe nurturing home
environment for homeless families with children who are
serious about getting their lives back on track.
Process:
During their yearlong stay in our eight unit housing
facility, we work daily to help families prepare to
transition out of sheltered housing and into their own
independent living situation. We use a holistic approach
that addresses each family’s individual needs. We help
families set and work on their individual life plans and
goals as we walk with them through the process to help them
overcome homelessness. It’s our goal to empower homeless
families to break the cycle of homelessness permanently.
Our
ministry:
All of our staff are Christian and see their “work” not
as a job but a ministry. The families are served and
counseled with the love of Christ. Everything we do, we
want to do with excellence as we realize we are really
serving our Lord. Our goal is to help all our residents to
see and experience Christ personally in and through all we
do and say.
Come and visit:
Please come visit or volunteer at our location in Pasadena,
to see our facility, meet some of our staff and some of the
families who are benefiting from the generosity of people
like you. Please call to arrange a visit or to volunteer.
