Mission:
Motivated by our Christian faith, Oasis USA works toward a just & inclusive world through advocacy & community development to inspire transformation in people and communities.

We believe every child should have the opportunity to live life to the fullest!  Our vision is for NW Pasadena to be a safe and vibrant community, where children and youth can fulfill their potential in all areas of their lives.

Program:
“Blast Off!” After School Education Program in NW Pasadena increases reading levels through positive interactions between children and adults.  A mentor guides students through three stations that inspire a love of learning. 

• Ready to Read – Students have individual assessment and support, using a variety of reading activities to develop a love for reading
• The Exploration Zone – Students develop reading and writing skills through following instructions in science and craft projects.
• The Computer Zone – Students they learn how to navigate the computer and engage in exercises that develop reading, writing and typing skills.

Volunteer Opportunities:
We are looking for volunteers to tutor, mentor and read with students for 2 hours a week. Training will be provided
Spanish Speakers: We are looking for volunteers to help deliver workshops for parents and families in NW Pasadena. Training will be provided.
